Medify filters are great at removing airborne dust, smoke, pet dander, pollen, and bacteria. But for your Medify filter to keep removing these contaminants the filter must be changed regularly.

In this article, I break down how long each type of Medify filter lasts. There’s also a guide on how to maintain each purifier, including how to reset, maintain and replace filters. I’ve included the manuals for each model too, in case you need help with any trouble shooting

Types of Medify air purifiers and filters

Medify has a total of 10 air purifiers with corresponding replacement filters. Each purifier has a pre-filter made from activated carbon and a HEPA H13 filter.

HEPA H13 filters can remove particles that are as small as 0.1 microns in diameter (that’s 10,000 times smaller than a centimetre or 390,000 times smaller than an inch.

These type of filters are medical-grade and remove more contaminants than just a general or True HEPA filter.

Use the table below to discover more about each filter, then keep reading for details on the filter life for each model, including how to look after them.

How to clean a Medify air purifier

Medify air purifiers can be cleaned by using a soft, moist cloth to wipe the outside of the unit. The interior of the purifier can be cleaned, but the procedure varies depending on the model. Ensure that the unit is switched off and unplugged prior to cleaning. Keep the device on a clean, dry, flat surface.

Use the specific instructions above for each Medify air purifier model.

And remember – Don’t immerse the machine in water or any liquid. Keep abrasives, corrosives, and flammable products away from the unit.

Note that filters cannot be washed.

Medify air purifiers should be cleaned every three to six months, depending on your usage. Medify air filters may also be cleaned, but cannot be washed.

You can clean the air filter of select models only – refer to your user manual to confirm your model. However, these filters cannot be washed – they can only be wiped, dusted, or vacuumed.
