In this article, we break down the run-times for each model of Levoit humidifier. Typically, the times provided are for low mist level settings, and represent the longest period of time that each humidifier can run for.
How long your Levoit humidifier will run for
Levoit humidifiers use ultrasonic technology to produce mist and distribute humidity evenly across a room and come in different sizes.
Smaller models are lightweight and portable, while the larger models can serve bigger rooms and run for more hours.
How long each Levoit humidifier lasts depends on
- the size of the water tank
- the mist level at which the humidifier is set to run
- the temperature of the room
- the humidity level in the room.
In general, a humidifier with a larger tank that is set to a low mist level will run for a longer time when compared to smaller tanks or higher mist settings.
A humidifier will also have to work harder to humidify a room that is cold and with low humidity, which can reduce its run time.

1. Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier
The Levoit LV600HH Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier has a 6-litre tank that can run continuously for up to 36 hours in rooms as large as 700 square feet.
It has a rotating nozzle and a built-in sensor.

It can also run intermittently for 17 hours before refill.
This humidifier also has a program to shut off automatically after four hours.

The Levoit Classic 200 has a 4-litre water tank that runs for as long as 40 hours on a stretch.
It also has three mist levels, which run at a noise level of fewer than 30 decibels.
The higher the mist level you set your humidifier to run, the shorter it may run compared to the expected 40 hours.

It has settings for different mist levels, affecting how long the humidifier lasts on a full tank. The 40 hour run time is based on the lowest mist setting.

7. Levoit Dual 200S Smart Top-Fill Humidifier
The Levoit Dual 200S Smart Top-Fill Humidifier has a 3-litre water tank that can supply mist for up to 25 hours continuously.
It also has different mist levels, and it’s the lowest mist setting that allows the humidifier to run for 25 hours.
Although the auto setting also gets close to this run-time. When you set the humidifier to auto you also set the humidity level that you want. If the humidity in the room is already close to that then the humidifier automatically uses a low mist speed, and once the humidity reaches your desired level it stops misting.
The humidifier will only use the high mist setting if your desired humidity level is much higher than the currently humidity level in the room.
8. Levoit VeSync Classic 300S Ultrasonic Smart Humidifier
The VeSync Classic 300S Levoit Humidifier has a 6-litre tank that can supply refreshing mist continuously for 60 hours. It is suitable for aromatherapy and has four different mist level settings, affecting how much water will be converted to mist.
